Question:

What’s the difference between Psych 117 and CogSci c127 (Psych c127)?

Answer:

*EDIT*

Both classes integrate what you need to know about Cognitive Neuroscience. There isn’t much difference anymore between the two classes. Both courses now focus on case studies of real patients with neurological deficits and explore neuro-imaging techniques in depth. The only noticeable difference would be that the courses are taught by two different professors during different semesters.

Psych 117 is offered only in the spring, and it is taught by Professors Knight and D’Esposito (They alternate years), and CogSci 127 is offered only in the fall, and it is taught by Professor Ivry. You can learn more about the professors’ interests and research here.

*Special thanks to E. Dandan for the course comparisons.
